How to play

• Move with the stick on the lower left, or WASD.
• Drag the stick past its ring, or hold Shift, to sprint. It uses the energy ring under you, which refills each point. A shot hit while sprinting is off balance, so settle first if you can.
• Tap a shot just before the ball reaches you. Your player swings when it's in reach, and you'll see if you were early, late or perfect.
• The small white ring shows where the ball will land.
• The yellow ring under you lights up while a shot is armed. A ball just out of reach gets a stretched, weaker shot.
• Hold the stick left or right as you hit to aim. Push it forward as you hit for topspin, or pull it back for slice.
• Hold a shot button to hit harder and deeper; the yellow ring grows as it charges. With swipe shots, a longer swipe hits harder.
• Drive or Lob a ball above your head to smash it down.
• Dink or Drop against a hard-hit ball to reset it softly into the kitchen.
• Drive a high ball at the kitchen line to speed it up at your opponent.
• Serve with Drive (hard), Lob (high) or Dink/Drop (a drop serve: bounce it, then hit it short). Hold the stick left or right to aim.
• You can volley from outside the sideline next to the kitchen (an Erne), and a wide ball can go around the net post.
• The serve and its return must bounce before you hit them.
• With swipe shots on, tap the lower right to Dink, swipe up a little to Drop, swipe up further to Drive, or swipe down to Lob.
• Side-out scoring: only the serving side scores. Rally scoring: every rally scores. First to 11, win by 2.
